Hidden Identities, Hidden Lives: When Data Obscures Health Disparities
Ninez A. Ponce
Professor, Health Policy and Management
UCLA
Tuesday, April 30 at 3 p.m.
Charles E. Young Research Library Main Conference Room
In this talk, Ponce will focus on health survey data in California and in national surveys for American Indian Alaska Native and Asian subgroup information. Ponce is a professor in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health’s Department of Health, and Director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. She is the Principal Investigator for the California Health Interview Survey, the largest health survey in the nation. Ponce received a BA in science from UC Berkeley, an MA in public policy from Harvard University, and a PhD in health services at UCLA.
Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested. RSVP
