Asian American Studies Minor Entering Before 2013

Course Requirements

The Asian American Studies minor requires seven courses:

  1. Any two of the following lower division core courses:
    • AAS 10 or AAS 10W
    • AAS 20
    • AAS 30 or AAS 30W
    • AAS 40
    • AAS 50
  2. Five upper division courses*:
    • One AAS theme course, numbered from AAS 110-M129, AAS 187B, AAS 191B;
    • One AAS populations and communities course, numbered from AAS M130A-139, AAS 187C, AAS 191C;
    • Three AAS elective courses, numbered from AAS 100-199;

All courses for the minor must be taken for a letter grade.

*Only one AAS contract course (AAS 195, 196,197,199) may be applied to the minor. AAS 192 and AAS 196 CANNOT be used to fulfill minor requirements.
