Lan Nguyen is second-generation Vietnamese American from Long Beach, California. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. For Lan’s MA capstone project, she is creating a documentary about Vietnamese refugees impacted by deportation and the systemic factors that lead to the criminalization and statelessness of Vietnamese refugees. She is involved in progressive Viet activist communities in Southern California and is also involved in inter-ethnic anti-deportation work. In her free time, she enjoys running, photography, and hanging out with her rescue dog!
