Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars’s Global Siblings program is one of DCISS’s most popular and successful programs with over 600 applicants each year. It entails pairing up one international student with one domestic student, and placing them into a themed family where they can meet other like-minded individuals. These families are led by highly motivated and diligent student Coordinators, who are responsible for planning events, attending bi-weekly meetings, ensuring that siblings maintain contact with each other, managing a programming budget, and attending and coordinating a mandatory orientation session for all Global Siblings participants in Fall Quarter.
DCISS is looking to fill one Graduate Coordinator position prior to the start of the 2018-19 academic year. Interested applicants can find an application form here: http://tinyurl.com/GSCoordinator18
Applications will be open until the beginning of classes and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Please note that following dates are mandatory for Global Siblings Coordinators:
- September 22nd-23rd, 2018 – Global Siblings Coordinator Retreat (overnight, off campus)
- October 27th, 2018 – Global Siblings Family Orientation (on campus)
