News: Undergraduate Job Opportunity at UCLA

On campus during the summer? The UCLA Lewis center for Regional Policy Studies and the Institute of Transportation Studies is seeking a dynamic student assistant for the Summer of 2017. The position has the opportunity to continue through fall quarter and throughout the 2017-18 academic year. The assistant will assist in various administrative duties and organizational tasks such as: managing electronic files, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, marketing events, updating calendars and websites, scheduling meetings, and other related duties as required. 

Several positions are also available for applicants interested in research, managing events, accounting, IT, and database management.

Hours are flexible, but dependablity is a must. Position can begin immediately. 

Job Qualifications: Excellent organization skills attention to detail, and dependability are a MUST. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Demonstrated ability in working with Excel, Word, Outlook, and possible MS Publisher and or InDesign. Good communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to represent the Lewis Center in making calls to professinoal contacts and event vendors. Willingness to learn new systems and software program. Design skills are an added plus though not required.
