News: Diversity Peer Leader Interns for 2018-2019

1.       We’re hiring! We are hiring Diversity Peer Leader Interns for 2018-2019. We are looking for both graduate and undergraduate students who want to make an impact on campus climate through dialogue programming. This is a paid internship that is open to students from all parts of campus, and we’d love to see your students and their experiences represented. a.       We have having an informational session this coming Tuesday, May 1, from 5-6pm in the Moore Hall Reading Room (#3340) with dinner provided! Please encourage your students to come and to apply.


2.       Invite your students to Re-Treat Yo’ Self: A Healing Space for Social Justice Advocates. This day-long retreat on Saturday, May 5, planned by the student Diversity Peer Leaders, will help students learn new methods for the wellness and self-care they need to sustain their social justice work. 3.       IGR 101 for Faculty and Staff: Due to increased demand, we are offering another spring quarter opportunity for faculty and staff to learn intergroup dialogue skills for the classroom, with students, and at work. The workshop will cover: how to set a supportive structure for difficult conversations, differentiating dialogue and debate, active listening skills, responding to offensive comments/behaviors, and giving and receiving feedback to support learning. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 16, from 9a-12p in the Moore Hall Reading Room (#3340). Space is limited and RSVPs are required. RSVP at
